Magnolia Bark Extract Health Benefits

For thousands of years Magnolia Bark Extract has been used in Chinese medicine for the overall enhancement of well-being and to also treat many kinds of ailments. It is also used as an ingredient in Japanese and Chinese medicine extracts which are called Saiboku-to and Hange-Koboku-to.

These are used for insomnia and anxiety. The medicinal effectiveness of Magnolia has not been proven, however, so consult your doctor before taking it for medicinal purposes.

Magnolia Bark Extract For Weight Loss

Other than for weight loss, Magnolia bark is used for several other purposes including ulcers, loss of appetite, nausea, indigestion, constipation and diarrhea. Plus, it can be used in treating stress, depression, inflammation, anxiety, asthma, headache, Alzheimer’s disease, stroke and headache. It has known to be used for dysentery, fever, menstrual cramps, cough and cold with mucus production, malaria and thyroid.

Magnolia bark extract could also serve as an antioxidant. Antioxidants will offset free radicals which are molecules in your body which are mission an electron. They’ll steal that electron from other molecules, which will lead to damage to your cells. The antioxidants are able to lose an electron and still not become a free radical, so they stop the whole process.
